"it's so fluffy i'm gonna die!"

With the Christmas season vastly approaching, what better excuse did I need to snap up these fluffy beauties from Public Desire. These velvet black strappy fluff heels are the perfect Christmas footwear to party in! Being a basic black colour means they compliment almost any outfit, and with the block heel (rather than a stiletto) means they are much easier to walk and dance in. The added fluff creates the perfect finishing touch, adding some texture and fun to any party outfit. Also, at only £23.99 you can't beat an x-mas bargain!

The other trend-setting fluffy accessory I have snapped up recently, is this H&M iPhone 5S fluffy pink case. Not only does is it super soft, but this pink fluff ball also protects your phone from any scratches and wear-age, keeping your phone in tip-top condition...and who doesn't love a pink fluff?!

pug-tastic

As many people know I am a huge fan of pugs and have a lot of pug-merchandise to prove it. Primark however is one of the best places for cute pug themed gifts and here are a selection of some of my recent pug purchases from there!

Firstly, as we are approaching autumn/winter, the temperature is rapidly decreasing meaning these adorable pug footsie slippers are the perfect winter warmer. The fluffy lining not only cushions the feet, but keeps them super cosy whilst also looking rather adorable.

The second purchase perfect from the coldness approaching is this adorable plastic travel mug with a rubber lid to keep your hot drink warmer for longer. I also love the duck egg blue polka dot style of the mug, topped with the adorable sketch of a pug, making it a super cute novelty mug when you are at home or on the go.

Another pug-licious purchase is this iPhone 5/5s rubber case. Not only does it protect your phone from any scratches or marks, but the hilariously adorable pug is sure to brighten up your mood any day. Finally is the matching earphones, which make listening to music even better than it already is!

Have a pug-tastic day!

simply red

Red is the most classic statement colour of all time, and the influence to this rubyliscious and 'classic favourites' blog post.

My favourite perfume of all time is 'see by Chloe' as it has such a light floral yet sweet scent which is so feminine and delicate however lasts all day without being too strong or heavy. The freshness of this fragrance continues to smell beautiful as the day goes on and with any sudden swish of movement, the uplifting smell hits you with a sweetness. As you can due to the low dosage left, I wear this almost everyday as it is the perfect spritz to keep you feeling and smelling refreshed and blooming lovely.

I recently had a gel manicure to my nails, and I loved the ruby/coral colour so much I got a BarryM replica. I love the gelly style nail polishes as they give such a glossy finish and the thickness enables a longer wearage to prevent any chipping or discolouring which many other polishes do not offer.

To further with the colour of lurveeee, another favourite is this L'oreal lip paint in the shade 'tangerine sonate'. The slight hint of coral/orange to the colour is really complimenting to the skin and adds a pop of colour to your make-up if you prefer a much simpler eye makeup look. The lip gloss style paint gives a smooth application and a long lasting finish with a slight shine, to give your lips that kissable look!

Finally another red fav, is the body shop 'born lippy' in pomegranate. This lip balm keeps your lips hydrated and smooth, which is perfect for the upcoming coldness to prevent any dryness or chapped lips. Not only does it have a fruity scent (which is so good you almost want to eat it), it gives a slight red tint to your lips in a more natural shade in comparison to the statement colour of the L'oreal.

Hopefully the blog will be filling up with lots of goodies in the next couple of weeks before it looks any more sad and empty.

Have a great evening,

what is in my bag...

Here is a quick post of a couple of drugstore gems I have recently found, and am loving for when on the go.
As soon as the new matte Rimmel London 'Apocalips' lipgloss came out, I was very excited to give it a whirl due to the velvet matte finish. I got the shade 'atomic rose', as it gives a peachy finish without the obvious cakey finish many lipsticks give. It dries as more of a tint to your lips, and when applying, it gives a creamy and silky soft texture to your lips, not only giving them a subtle touch of peachyness, but a smooth and kissable finish. Despite being a little skeptical at first, this new lipwear from Rimmel is a must-have for a touch of colour for a day-to-day look, as well as being a long-lasting smooth lippy for a night out (without the fuss of having to keep reapplying).

Another great drugstore find are these 'on location' Real Technique travel brushes. The handbag sized brushes are perfect for when you are out and about and wanting to touch up your make-up without the nuisance of lugging all your brushes with you. They are still as super soft as the other brushes from the brand, only with a shorter handle making it a handbag essential when you are out-and-about. So if you are popping to town or going for a night out these are a trusty handbag/clutch must-have!

Keeping it short n sweet, so hope you enjoyed this little post of my current fav buys!

coat collections for AW14

coat collections

Marks and Spencer-Cocoon coat

H&M- Fluff Jacket

River Island- Duster Coat

Dorothy Perkins- Waterfall Jacket

Monki- Oversized Pattern Coat

H&M- Pink Pastel Coat

As I have been super busy with school and work recently I have been unable to post my style and outfits as often as I would like. So...I have created a quick preview wishlist of the current and upcoming outerwear trends for AW14.

So it appears that trusty H&M are not going to disappoint this season with their selection of coats and jackets including this beautiful fluff cream jacket which appears super soft and cosy and is sure to add a stylish statement to an outfit due to its quirky yet cute style. They are also bang on trend with this pastel pink boyfriend jacket, which is a top pick for me as I do love a pop of pink to an outfit! (I have also spotted the must-have in other high street stores including Primark!)

To follow on with the pastel trend, Marks and Spencer have also gone the extra mile with this beautiful powder blue cocoon jacket which is sure to be a winter warmer. The style is very simple yet due to the slight largeness of it, it gives an extra bit of warmth to this simply stylish style, topped with a the beautiful blue to add a burst of brightness to the dreary weather.

Monki have also shown a perfect example of a minimalistic patterned coat, which provides a statement to a simple outfit in such a subtle way. The oversized boyfriend style of the coat puts it bang on trend, and is perfectly flattering for all shapes and sizes as a winter cover-up.

For a more sophisticated and formal style this season, the waterfall style jacket is a must. The simple added material forming the waterfall drape at the front, adds an extra feature to an outfit, giving the classic blazer and current twist.

Finally the River Island duster coat, is a slightly lighter weight jacket which effortlessly gives an add of glamour to an outfit. Perfect for the autumn time, this basic jacket is an essential for any outfit when the weather turns a little colder to give you a touch of warmth yet making your style bang on trend!

So if you are struggling with finding the perfect AW jacket, don't forget these are the latest sizzling styles.

simply does it

Jersey tanks, ripped jeans and slip on skaters are an all-year basic essential trend you can rock in your own personal way. As each of these items are so simple and basic, allowing them to suit any style, this summer is no exception for them to be worn. So I've put together a casual day-to-day look with all 3 of the most basic yet super stylish and purse-friendly items for this summer season.

These super simple grey washed ripped knee skinny jeans are from trusty ole' Topshop, and are available in so many different shades and colours for any season and trend (including denim blue, pink, white etc.) Not only is the distressed ripped knee so in-trend right now, but as an added bonus the material of these jeans are super soft and comfy, unlike many other denim jeans, and are therefore so easy to wear day-to-day. I purchased the grey washed pair as they are a simple colour to go with anything, and perfect for any season due to the slight darkness of them. However, if you are feeling a little creative you can purchase any pair of jeans and use either a pair of scissors (or even a bread knife as they really pull on the material) in order to have your own DIY pair of ripped skinnies!

My plain white jersey tank from H&M has got to be the best bargain I have got in a long while at only £2.99, I couldn't resist but also getting this super saver in a very dark grey. I love the high neck line of this tank as it makes it perfect for wearing necklaces with, as well as the low cut sides (giving a flash of bralet) and adding a little edge to it! As everyone needs a plain white tee in their lives, this one is perfect for summer due to the sleeveless look and the thin (yet not see-through) material, which is also so soft and loose fitting to give a laid back look without any creasing.

I teamed this with my amazing new bag (also from H&M) to add a rocky edge to the simple outfit. I loved the rose gold zip and detail to this water print bag, as it is very unusual to see, allowing me to to top it off with my rose gold Michael Kors watch, to add a statement to a basic and minimal outfit.

To add to the rose gold theme of accessories, I topped the look off with my chunky rose gold and pale grey chain necklace to really add a bit of jazz and statement to the simple tank top. This was gift for Christmas, however is still available in Topshop however is now in the sale section, giving you a sparkling saving on such a beautifully simple statement necklace!

Finally to finish this basic look, I teamed it up with my Topshop black snakeskin textured slip on skaters. When I first got them, they were a real killer to wear and really uncomfortable, however after a bit of perseverance they are now one of the comfiest shoes I own! They are so simple and go perfectly with any style or outfit to give a laid back or even slightly sporty edge. Many places are now selling slip on skater like these, and are also available in so many different colours and textures to personally suit you!

So when you want a simple or laid back look, don't forget about the all-year essentials to rock in any style and in any way you want, no matter the season or weather...and when in doubt you can add a bit of sparkle or statement with your accessories to make these basics perfect for a night out!

fly like a bee

I have been extremely lucky and received the most beautiful jewellery from Orelia which included two dainty gold necklaces, rings and earrings. When they arrived, they were in the most adorable packaging finished with a fuchsia ribbon, then each individually wrapped in this golden tissue paper (making it feel like Christmas when I ripped then open!).

The necklaces included a very dainty cut out open golden heart, which is very simple and minimal, however just adds a little bit of accessory to jazz up any outfit with the adorable heart. Due to the fine chain and small pendant, it is the perfect style of necklace to multi-layer. The second necklace I received, which is perfect to team with the heart pendant, is the golden honey bee chain necklace. Necklaces with flies or bee's on are a real trend of the moment as they have also been spotted on the likes of Queen Bey herself, Beyonce. The necklace is small enough to simply been layered with other necklaces, whilst also making a subtle statement to your outfit due to the on-trend style.

The other items included a beautiful two pack of teardrop crystal stone stacking rings. I love the twisted and ball chained band of the rings, making them perfect to mix-and-match and stack upon any other style of ring. As they are fairly small, they rest neatly on your fingers, and subtly add a glimpse of glitz and glamour to your outfit. The larger band ring is the perfect statement ring without the fuss of any big gems which always get in the way. The beautiful floral/geometric cut out pattern within the ring really adds some dimension and alternative glamour to your style, whilst also resting neatly on your finger due to the simple yet artistic design.

The final beauty I received were these crystal stone hexagon earrings. They are the perfect size as they are big enough to stand out when worn, however are not too big that they are hanging off my ear or getting in the way. The 3D design with the added crystal stone add a glimmer to your accessories, whilst still appearing glamorous and dainty, making it perfect for an evening out or even everyday. If you are like myself, a jewellery fan you definitely need to check out the most gorgeous designs by Orelia, as they are all such dainty items making them perfect to wear everyday, however when layered together, can add more of a statement if you want more of a glam night look.Thank you again for the most stunning jewellery everyone at Orelia!

drugstore dimes

Recently I have found some real gems in drugstores like Boots and Superdrug, for super saving prices. These include a variety of products and brands which have been a real money and skin saviour for me this summer.

One brand which I have been loving for their long lasting coverage and purse friendly price, is Superdrug's brand, MUA. I recently purchased the powdered blusher in the shade 'Cupcake' which lasts all day and applies so smoothly onto my cheeks leaving them blushed and rosy, and at only £1 how can you resist?! The next product from MUA which I have been loving is the 'undress your skin highlighter' in the shade 'gold'. I lighting apply this to my cheekbones, inner tear ducts and under my brow bone to brighten my skin and give it a subtle glow. At 3 for a large pressed powder is a true bargain as you only need a tiny amount, meaning it will last a lifetime.

My next fav, is the 2true 3 in 1 concealer in shade '1', which is the perfect contouring and blemish disguising weapon. Every product in the range is £1.99, and applies quite thickly, so you need to be careful to prevent any caking, however it is perfect for a lasting coverage.

Another bargain beauty weapon is the Collection 2000 lip butter in 'vintage rose (shade 3)'. Not only does it act as a lip balm, but also as a long wearing lip stick which doesn't leave the flaky residue many lipsticks appear to leave. I find it very difficult to find a lip product which does last for a reasonably long time and stay looking fresh and smooth, however this product is perfect for a long lasting finish, and comes in a variety of shades to suit any mood and style.

Rimmel London has recently brought out a new mascara which contains argan oil to lock in the natural oils and moisture your lashes need to provide a healthy thickness and length. The brush is fairly soft and provides zero clumping to leave your lashes with a glamorous clump-free finish, whilst adding dramatic volume and length with only a few strokes needed. This really is the new 'hot' mascara of the season.

Another Rimmel London product I am really enjoying is the 'wake me up' foundation. It has a slight glimmery finish to give you the brightness and appearance of a healthy glow, with very minimal amounts needed. It comes in various shades to suit all skin types, however it can become a little shiny as the day progresses so a slight puff of powder is needed, and if you have naturally oily skin, I wouldn't recommend this product to be suitable for you. However due to having very dry skin myself, it gives me a natural shimmer and the moisture my skin needs, whilst giving a flawless finish. I apply this product with my life saver foundation brush the Real Techniques 'stippling brush'. I love every brush from the collection, however find the stippling brush to give the best flawless and photo finish appearance after use and it gives an even application all over when applying foundation. I cannot praise enough the Real Technique brushes, but once you use one, you will never go back!

Hope this has given you some inspo of the purse friendly drugstore products which I am personally loving this summer to give me the perfect flawless make-up look.

choker face

Chokers are a huge trend right now, and are a real inspirational throw-back to the 90's. I myself have fallen for the craze, and here are a small selection of the variety of styles the chokers I am loving right now.

1) LaModa

The first gorgeous choker is from LaModa, with a suede black ribbon as the chain, and silver abstract pendent beads on. This is a very festival vibed choker, and can also be worn as the length of a normal short necklace. Due to it's minimal yet stunning details, it is perfect to wear with any colour or pattern, and is perfect all year round.

2) Topshop

This is one of my most favourite chokers as it consists of both silver and gold, allowing you to wear any other colour jewellery with it. The simplistic colours on the necklace, make it a perfect complimentary accessory to any style and outfit.  I also love the beaded chain, which makes it stand out against any other chained necklace, giving it a quirky feel. The delicate coin pendant is also a very hot trend right now, making this choker even more stylish.

3) ASOS

This choker is the most elegant and delicate one I have come across. I really love the glamorous element of the small pearl on such a dainty gold chain, making it so subtle yet a beautiful touch to an outfit. The simple pearl tone on the gold compliments perfectly, adding a touch of class to your style.

4) ASOSMy sister got me this stunning diamante 3 tiered choker, resting on a fine silver wired chain. This is more of a glamour statement choker due to the multiple pendants, making it a brilliant night/going out accessory. The added diamante's makes the choker eye popping, which is perfect with a simple or plain outfit to add a bit of sparkle to it.
So if like myself, you give into the choker craze, there are a series of different styles to suit any outfit, style or personality!
Have a lovely summer's day!Phoebe x x

Summer Loving

I recently purchased this stunning nude and black floral playsuit from H&M, not only was I drawn to the simplistic beauty of it, but after trying it on, the material was really cool yet comfy which is perfect for these warm summer days. I instantly fell in love with the classic colours, as they would go perfect with any colour accessory, but the simple design and purse friendly price of only £14.99 made me scoop this item up quick! Whilst on a dog walk, my sister took these pictures of how I decided to style this brilliant buy on a casual, sunny day.

Due to the minimal dark colours of the playsuit, I teamed it with bright white accessories. The long line, fine knit cardigan is another summer steal as it keeps you warm yet cool during the sunny days and cooler evenings, due to the soft thin material and loose fitting. This is also another buy from H&M and also comes in many other colours (which I too have in a speckled grey), to match any style and outfit. I then styled this with my bargain £5 white Birkenstock styled sandals from Primark. Due to the footbed sole, they are super comfy as they mold to the shape of your feet making them not only stylish, but also very snug.

To then accessorize this outfit, I wore a simple gold arrow necklace, which was part of a multipack also from Primark. This minimal necklace adds a hint of glamour to any outfit, whilst still keeping it very low key and minimal...and at only £3 for 3 necklaces they too were too good to resist! I also wore my black leather plaited anklet with a sunflower pendant which I found from a small handmade boutique on Depop at 'hellopetal'. The lady is so lovely and makes them to you personal preference with a variety of colours and pendants available.

Have a lovely day,

Phoebe
