pug-tastic

As many people know I am a huge fan of pugs and have a lot of pug-merchandise to prove it. Primark however is one of the best places for cute pug themed gifts and here are a selection of some of my recent pug purchases from there!

Firstly, as we are approaching autumn/winter, the temperature is rapidly decreasing meaning these adorable pug footsie slippers are the perfect winter warmer. The fluffy lining not only cushions the feet, but keeps them super cosy whilst also looking rather adorable.

The second purchase perfect from the coldness approaching is this adorable plastic travel mug with a rubber lid to keep your hot drink warmer for longer. I also love the duck egg blue polka dot style of the mug, topped with the adorable sketch of a pug, making it a super cute novelty mug when you are at home or on the go.

Another pug-licious purchase is this iPhone 5/5s rubber case. Not only does it protect your phone from any scratches or marks, but the hilariously adorable pug is sure to brighten up your mood any day. Finally is the matching earphones, which make listening to music even better than it already is!

Have a pug-tastic day!

simply red

Red is the most classic statement colour of all time, and the influence to this rubyliscious and 'classic favourites' blog post.

My favourite perfume of all time is 'see by Chloe' as it has such a light floral yet sweet scent which is so feminine and delicate however lasts all day without being too strong or heavy. The freshness of this fragrance continues to smell beautiful as the day goes on and with any sudden swish of movement, the uplifting smell hits you with a sweetness. As you can due to the low dosage left, I wear this almost everyday as it is the perfect spritz to keep you feeling and smelling refreshed and blooming lovely.

I recently had a gel manicure to my nails, and I loved the ruby/coral colour so much I got a BarryM replica. I love the gelly style nail polishes as they give such a glossy finish and the thickness enables a longer wearage to prevent any chipping or discolouring which many other polishes do not offer.

To further with the colour of lurveeee, another favourite is this L'oreal lip paint in the shade 'tangerine sonate'. The slight hint of coral/orange to the colour is really complimenting to the skin and adds a pop of colour to your make-up if you prefer a much simpler eye makeup look. The lip gloss style paint gives a smooth application and a long lasting finish with a slight shine, to give your lips that kissable look!

Finally another red fav, is the body shop 'born lippy' in pomegranate. This lip balm keeps your lips hydrated and smooth, which is perfect for the upcoming coldness to prevent any dryness or chapped lips. Not only does it have a fruity scent (which is so good you almost want to eat it), it gives a slight red tint to your lips in a more natural shade in comparison to the statement colour of the L'oreal.

Hopefully the blog will be filling up with lots of goodies in the next couple of weeks before it looks any more sad and empty.

Have a great evening,

what is in my bag...

Here is a quick post of a couple of drugstore gems I have recently found, and am loving for when on the go.
As soon as the new matte Rimmel London 'Apocalips' lipgloss came out, I was very excited to give it a whirl due to the velvet matte finish. I got the shade 'atomic rose', as it gives a peachy finish without the obvious cakey finish many lipsticks give. It dries as more of a tint to your lips, and when applying, it gives a creamy and silky soft texture to your lips, not only giving them a subtle touch of peachyness, but a smooth and kissable finish. Despite being a little skeptical at first, this new lipwear from Rimmel is a must-have for a touch of colour for a day-to-day look, as well as being a long-lasting smooth lippy for a night out (without the fuss of having to keep reapplying).

Another great drugstore find are these 'on location' Real Technique travel brushes. The handbag sized brushes are perfect for when you are out and about and wanting to touch up your make-up without the nuisance of lugging all your brushes with you. They are still as super soft as the other brushes from the brand, only with a shorter handle making it a handbag essential when you are out-and-about. So if you are popping to town or going for a night out these are a trusty handbag/clutch must-have!

Keeping it short n sweet, so hope you enjoyed this little post of my current fav buys!

coat collections for AW14

coat collections

Marks and Spencer-Cocoon coat

H&M- Fluff Jacket

River Island- Duster Coat

Dorothy Perkins- Waterfall Jacket

Monki- Oversized Pattern Coat

H&M- Pink Pastel Coat

As I have been super busy with school and work recently I have been unable to post my style and outfits as often as I would like. So...I have created a quick preview wishlist of the current and upcoming outerwear trends for AW14.

So it appears that trusty H&M are not going to disappoint this season with their selection of coats and jackets including this beautiful fluff cream jacket which appears super soft and cosy and is sure to add a stylish statement to an outfit due to its quirky yet cute style. They are also bang on trend with this pastel pink boyfriend jacket, which is a top pick for me as I do love a pop of pink to an outfit! (I have also spotted the must-have in other high street stores including Primark!)

To follow on with the pastel trend, Marks and Spencer have also gone the extra mile with this beautiful powder blue cocoon jacket which is sure to be a winter warmer. The style is very simple yet due to the slight largeness of it, it gives an extra bit of warmth to this simply stylish style, topped with a the beautiful blue to add a burst of brightness to the dreary weather.

Monki have also shown a perfect example of a minimalistic patterned coat, which provides a statement to a simple outfit in such a subtle way. The oversized boyfriend style of the coat puts it bang on trend, and is perfectly flattering for all shapes and sizes as a winter cover-up.

For a more sophisticated and formal style this season, the waterfall style jacket is a must. The simple added material forming the waterfall drape at the front, adds an extra feature to an outfit, giving the classic blazer and current twist.

Finally the River Island duster coat, is a slightly lighter weight jacket which effortlessly gives an add of glamour to an outfit. Perfect for the autumn time, this basic jacket is an essential for any outfit when the weather turns a little colder to give you a touch of warmth yet making your style bang on trend!

So if you are struggling with finding the perfect AW jacket, don't forget these are the latest sizzling styles.
